LPG Operations Supply Chain Coordinator – Sun King
Job Purpose
To oversee supply chain operations underpinning Sun King’s PAYG LPG business in Kenya—managing commercial vendor relationships, bulk LPG transportation, inventory planning across warehouses and depots, asset lifecycle management for cylinder fleets, and rigorous compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Roles & Responsibilities

LPG Supply Management: Oversee bulk LPG transportation from vendor facilities to storage or refilling points, monitor real-time supply flows and transit visibility, resolve operational bottlenecks, improve route efficiency, and ensure accurate goods-receipt verification via dual-weighing.

Inventory Planning & Replenishment: Manage inventory flows for cookstoves, cylinders, FMCDs, accessories, and LPG; establish safety stock policies and replenishment frameworks; coordinate with sales on demand forecasting; and minimize stock-outs while optimizing working capital.

Asset Lifecycle Management: Maintain end-to-end tracking and visibility of deployed cylinders across markets, improve working capital efficiency by addressing idle or unreturned units, manage recertification pipelines, and enforce loss and shrinkage governance processes.

Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with EPRA licensing, KEBS cylinder standards, NEMA, county requirements, and DOSH safety protocols; maintain cylinder quality standards; and coordinate incident investigations and corrective actions.

Vendor & Partner Relationships: Manage commercial relationships, vendor onboarding, credit terms, and invoicing cycles; conduct statement-of-account (SOA) reconciliations; monitor SLAs and performance scorecards; and negotiate pricing, credit, and supply terms.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Finance, IT, or a related field.
Skills, Experience & Competences

Professional experience in LPG, downstream oil and gas, or FMCG distribution.

Strong project management capabilities with a track record of delivering process improvement initiatives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Strong financial skills and data interpretation capabilities, with experience using operational insights to inform commercial assessments.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-border team management skills.

Familiarity with regulatory bodies and compliance standards, preferably within the energy or LPG sector.
